With comprehensive learning facilities and guidance from top chefs from renowned hotels, Kaniva International is fully committed to preparing you to become a professional chefregardless of your educational background.
Students will learn how food and beverages are created with exquisite taste, combined and served based on F&B concepts and high hygiene standards. Other core lessons include basic skills such as hot kitchen and knowledge about food, to additional classes pastry for all students which includes bread making, croissant, danish, traditional snack, pizza, bread butter pudding, etc.
Students are also equipped with communication skills in both General English and English for Food & Beverage, as well as supporting competencies such as entrepreneurship through hands-on experience at Kaniva’s Student Coffee. Additionally, students will study pastry-making theories and apply them through practical training.
Graduates of the F&B Production program can pursue careers as Cook Helper, Commis (Hot Kitchen & Cold Kitchen), Pastry and Bakery Staff
What will you learn?
- Work safety procedures, kitchen cleanliness, first aid.
- Basic communication, teamwork, operational English.
- Clerical duties, understanding of the hospitality industry, child protection.
- Prepare and process various types of food (meat, vegetables, seafood, soups, sauces, desserts).
- Stock management, material storage, work area cleanliness.
